PETALING JAYA, July 3 — James Gunn's Superman will feature a cameo of Will Reeve, the son of the most iconic actor to play the Man of Steel, Christopher Reeve.

Twenty years after the passing of the actor who played the Kryptonian and his Daily Planet journalist alter ego, Clark Kent, on screen in 1978's Superman : The Movie, - his son Will Reeve, 32, a real-life journalist and ABC News correspondent will appear as a TV reporter in the upcoming DC Studios movie.

The reveal came from local media, Cleveland.com, which captured behind-the-scenes action on location in Cleveland, Ohio, including Will's appearance on set during a major scene.

Images of Will who is also an actor and producer, dressed to the nines in a slick Clark Kent-style suit with Gunn, and giving him a hug as others on location clapped, appeared to be taken after they wrapped filming for the scene, were shared on social media.

Christopher was paralysed from the neck down after an equestrian accident in 1995 and used a wheelchair and ventilator for the rest of his life before he passed on in 2004 from heart failure at age 52.

American actor David Corenswet, 30, stars as Superman in the character’s latest film revival, written and directed by Gunn, expected to fly into cinemas on July 11,2025.
