FANS ARE LEFT SPLIT AS 'BORING AND UNIMAGINATIVE' TITLE FOR BRAD PITT'S NEW F1 MOVIE IS CONFIRMED: 'MUST HAVE TAKEN MONTHS TO THINK OF THAT'

The official title for Brad Pitt's new Formula One movie has finally been confirmed - but many fans were left underwhelmed by the 'unimaginative' decision.

The Apple Films original is due to be released in the summer of 2025, with Pitt and his co-stars filming at various F1 races around the globe for the past few years.

As excitement continues to build, the first poster - and the official title - have now been released to the public, but many were left stunned.

After months of workshopping and various high-level executive meetings, the title of the F1 movie was confirmed as... F1.

Taking to social media to react, one fan wrote: 'What a boring and unimaginative title,' while another added: 'Must have taken them ages to come up with that.'

Elsewhere, though, others overlooked the basic title to share their excitement over the movie, which is set to take the popularity of the sport through the roof.

'I can't wait for this,' one wrote, and another fan added: 'Hand over the Oscar already!'

In the first poster for the movie, Pitt can be seen in the helmet of his fictional team 'APXGP', and he will star alongside Damson Idris - who plays his teammate.

The movie will be released in cinemas across North America on June 27, 2025, and internationally two days earlier on June 25.

From there, it will be available on Apple TV.

It was also revealed on Friday that a first teaser for the movie will be released this weekend, coinciding with the British Grand Prix at Silverstone, where Pitt and his co-stars are currently filming scenes.

The movie will involve all 10 F1 teams. the sport's drivers, the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile and race promoters, and filming is due to continue as late as the Abu Dhabi race in December of this year.

This weekend, cameras will be rolling at Silverstone, with more footage to be captured in the coming months in Hungary, Belgium, Mexico City and Las Vegas.

The cast also includes Kerry Condon, Javier Bardem, Tobias Menzies, Sarah Niles, Kim Bodnia, Samson Kayo, and Callie Cooke.
