KENDRICK LAMAR TAKES MORE SHOTS AT DRAKE AND WHACKS AN OVO OWL PIñATA IN VICTORY LAP 'NOT LIKE US' VIDEO — WATCH!

The West Coast rap star dropped the video for his Drake diss track on Thursday, July 4

Kendrick Lamar is taking another victory lap in his “Not Like Us” music video.

After months of feuding with Drake, the West Coast icon, 37, fittingly released his much anticipated visual — directed by him and creative collaborator Dave Free — on Thursday, July 4, marking a celebratory occasion for both his native Compton and the win against his rap counterpart.

Following in the spirit of his epic The Pop Out: Ken and Friends concert held in Inglewood last month, the “Not Like Us” video gets much outside assistance from his hometown and celebrity cameos (including producer DJ Mustard, Tommy the Clown, Schoolboy Q and NBA star DeMar DeRozan) as Lamar takes more subtle and direct shots at Drake.

From him whacking an OVO owl piñata (with a disclaimer: “no OVHoes were harmed during the making of this video”) to playing hopscotch while reciting his infamous “Tryna strike a chord, and it's probably A-Minor” line, the nearly six-minute visual is full of trolling Drake references that harken back to insults traded during the pair’s rap beef.

The most obvious is a rare appearance from Lamar’s fiancée, Whitney Alford, and their two kids, Uzi and Enoch, all of whom Drake mentioned across his slew of diss tracks (including “Push Ups” and “Family Matters”). Toward the end of the video, the family poses for a black-and-white, portrait-esque shot before the scene cuts to Alford and Lamar joyfully dancing to more Drake disses together.

The visual concludes with a close-up shot of Lamar staring at a lone owl perched on his arm, which he then locks up in a cage before turning his back on it.

The lead-up to Lamar dropping his “Not Like Us” video was kicked off on Wednesday, June 19 (a.k.a. Juneteenth) at the Kia Forum, where he hosted a semi-greatest hits concert that concluded with a debut live performance of “Not Like Us” (played at least five times in a row). Before he took the stage, fellow West Coast artists like Tyler, the Creator, Roddy Ricch, Ty Dolla $ign, YG and more opened up the show, with some even returning for Lamar’s encore “Not Like Us” performance.

Although Drake and Lamar’s ongoing beef spurred the momentous occasion, the latter lauded it as a significant moment in hip-hop that helped unite historically feuding sections of South Los Angeles on one stage.

“But you ain’t never seen this many sections on one stage. Let the world see this,” he told the crowd. “We need to show everything. This is unity. Unity from all of sides of L.A., East L.A. to West, Crips, Bloods, this makes me emotional.”

It’s unclear if Lamar will follow-up his new music video with more music, but he teased a snippet of an unreleased track at the start of it, so there could be something else for fans to look forward to soon.
