Bette Midler is using the power of music — and Oz — to criticize the Supreme Court.

On Tuesday, the Grammy- and Tony-winning singer showed off her vocal chops with a snarky Wizard of Oz parody song that sees her calling out several Justices by name. Directing her ire at Clarence Thomas, John Roberts, Samuel Alito, Neil Gorsuch, and Brett Kavanaugh, Midler slams that latest unprecedented decisions from the Supreme Court.

"Thumbs down to autocracy,” she captioned the post. “#VoteBlue2024ProtectDemocracy.”

The song, penned by Eric Kornfeld and directed by Hairspray composer Marc Shaiman, directly addresses the Justices with such lyrics as, “You could judge women fairly / And have ethics more than barely / If you only had a brain.”

In another verse, Midler sings, "Neil and Brett, you spiteful judges / We gals are holding grudges / Keep church and state apart / You could be less disruptive, in all matters reproductive / If you only had a heart.”

She concludes the song by echoing the sentiment in her caption: "Thumbs down to autocracy / We’re saving our democracy, so life can be divine.”

Midler previously collaborated with Shaiman and Kornfeld on a similar parody music video, slamming former President Donald Trump.

Midler has long been vocal with her criticisms of recent Supreme Court decisions, especially following the 2022 6-to-3 ruling to overturn Roe v. Wade. She was one of many celebrities to slam the decision on social media, addressing the “women of the world” in a tweet to say "don’t let them erase you.”

After her words were met with backlash, Midler later penned a series of tweets to clarify that her original message was not meant to be viewed as "exclusionary or transphobic” and "was about the same old shit women — ALL WOMEN — have been putting up with since the cavemen. Even then, men got top billing."

The Beaches actress concluded, "But the truth is, Democracy is slipping through our fingers! I'm all in on trying to save Democracy for ALL PEOPLE. We must unite, because, in case you haven't been paying attention, divided we will definitely fall."
